This incredible barn venue on the border of Cheshire and Shropshire provides a stunning setting for relaxed weddings, with the ability to completely personalise your day. Grange Wedding Barn Cheshire is a family-run converted barn, available for exclusive hire for one wedding each weekend, so you’ll have the full attention of the brilliant venue team to bring your wedding dreams to life.

We love a barn wedding, and rustic architectural details here and views across farmland and countryside provide a great backdrop for us to work with as your award-winning Grange Barn wedding photographers. You have the option to get married outdoors on the decking, or inside the barn with views from the French doors to the surrounding arable farmland.

“Janina and Jawad were the most incredible photographers we could have chosen for our wedding.”

The wagon wheel chandeliers and draped fairy lights create a magical atmosphere for a wedding breakfast, and you can personalise the space with floral displays and décor to make it completely unique.

Georgie and Bruce’s Grange Barn wedding

Georgie and Bruce booked us as their Grange Barn wedding photographers to capture their very relaxed celebration, with all parts of the day flowing into one. Blending in with guests to photograph the emotion and fun is one of the things we do best, so we were excited to join them and capture their day.

“They were both so lovely and really blended in with our guests at Grange Barn, we barely noticed the cameras as it felt so natural!!”

Janina started the day with Georgie and her bridal party, getting ready in the beautiful Loft Bridal Suite at Grange Barn. The gorgeous suite has Hollywood-style mirrors, where make-up artist Ashley Parking was busy working her magic. Georgie’s Badgley Mischka dress from Ava Rose Hamilton in Colne was elegant and intricately decorated, and her long veil and train looked incredible sweeping down the aisle!

Meanwhile, Jawad was with Bruce and his groomsmen, getting ready at the Macdonald Hill Valley Hotel just ten minutes away. They assembled outside in their suits from Menswear at Amelias in Clitheroe and grabbed a drink in the bar before heading to Grange Barn. The boys were all there ready to begin greeting friends and family as they started to arrive for the ceremony. We like to use this time to photograph the hugs and nervous anticipation, as well as some of the details of your venue, with all those loving personal touches you’ve put so much effort into.

Their ceremony was held indoors under hessian bunting, with guests sitting on hessian-covered hay bales and a stunning floral arch created by Chloe from White Wysteria florists with white roses, peonies, eucalyptus and thistles that matched the girls’ luxuriously full bouquets. Georgie and Bruce’s emotional vows were followed with an epic confetti lineup, and the weathered wooden exterior of the old cattle barn really made the storm of confetti POP!

“They have really captured the love and emotions to a tee… I would recommend these guys to anyone in a heartbeat”

Just as they’d planned, the day flowed seamlessly, straight from their ceremony to a reception with cocktails and canapes. We captured some group portraits on the decking overlooking the lake and fields, we know these are an important part of the day (although they aren’t mandatory!), so we like to help make group photos as fun and chilled as possible. Then you’ll be back to enjoying time with your guests, knowing we’ve got any must-have group shots in the bag!

Before tucking into a yummy BBQ feast, there were some funny and emotional speeches and everyone swapped seats and chatted afterwards too. Love Letters Event Styling provided some of the finishing touches to the décor, including a neon ‘Better Together’ sign behind the top table. The kids also had lots of fun playing games in the barn while the grownups were busy, which is another bonus of having so much space around your wedding breakfast tables!

Party time in the Cheshire countryside

After cutting their cake, Georgie and Bruce took to the floor for their first dance, with fairy lights twinkling overhead. DJ Greg Moseley then got the party started with some floor fillers, and Rory Purvis added some late-night Ibiza vibes playing his saxophone amongst the dancing. The polished floor of the converted cattle barn makes a great dancefloor, and guests kicked off their shoes to celebrate with their best moves!
