Cornhill Castle wedding wasn’t our first wedding as Scottish Wedding Photographers. Perched on the banks of the River Clyde near the historic town of Biggar, Cornhill Castle is a romantic and stylish retreat in the heart of Lanarkshire. Some wedding days just hit differently – and Robert & Lauren’s Cornhill Castle wedding was one of those days. These two found us through a mutual friend in Dubai (where they live), and from the very first call, we clicked instantly over a shared love of food, travel, and a really good glass of wine.
Cornhill Castle, with its grand Scottish charm and rolling views, was the perfect backdrop for a celebration that brought people together from over 20 different countries. Yep – it was a proper global gathering, and the energy was off the charts from start to finish.
Wedding Day at Cornhill Castle
Robert & Lauren are the kind of couple who care deeply about people – and it showed in every part of their wedding. The ceremony, led by the amazing Victoria Johnson, was one of the most funny, heartfelt, and personal we’ve witnessed – full of real moments, laughter, love and cheese.
From there, the day rolled effortlessly into a celebration full of huge laughs, tight hugs, questionable bagpipe playing, dancing that could’ve gone on all night (and so did we!). The flowers were next-level, thanks to the magic of Tass Florals. Think elegant yet playful, with textures and tones that tied everything together perfectly. I must say we loved little naughty surprise confetti….
And the party? Well… KC and the Nightshift absolutely owned the evening. If you’re looking for a band to pack the dancefloor and keep it there, check them out via Hireaband. They brought the fire.
