When you meet the love of your life on the dancefloor, there’s only one way to celebrate getting married! Poppy and Sam had a beautiful outdoor ceremony in Herefordshire and we joined them as their Dewsall Court wedding photographers to capture the gorgeousness and the EPIC party.

With their squad of seven bridesmaids, seven groomsmen, two maids of honour, two best men, and three flower girls (quite the entourage!) the atmosphere was buzzing as they all got ready at Dewsall Court. Poppy’s dress from Brides of Solihull was beautifully elegant, and her luxurious bouquet from Issy and Bella looked stunning at their outdoor ceremony.
Poppy had photographs of her late Father and Grandma attached to her bouquet, so they would both be with her on her big day. Sam’s Dad walked Poppy to the end of the woodland aisle and then her brother James took over to officially give her away. The boys all wore pale suits from House of Cavani, and Sam’s had blue buttons with an extra pop of blue in his tie and pocket square.

Poppy and Sam’s Wedding at Dewsall Court
Impressive, cascading blooms and foliage had also been arranged around the ceremony area, providing bursts of colour to match the ribbons tied around Poppy’s huge bouquet. Their ceremony was full of smiles and laughter, and they celebrated with a perfectly timed kiss and dip as they walked back down the aisle, finally husband and wife.
After being showered with confetti, Poppy and Sam relaxed and enjoyed their drinks reception on the terrace, accompanied by James Juke on guitar. Everyone chilled and chatted, there were lots and lots of hugs to be had! The whole day had been coordinated by Hannah Bird, who takes care of weddings at Dewsall Court, and the onsite catering team put together a delicious feast for their wedding breakfast. Poppy’s mum took care of their wedding cake too – it was delicious!
Dewsall Court weddings – something for everyone!
Weddings at Dewsall Court can take place in a variety of locations, including the romantic conservatory, on the church lawn, in the lake field, The Wainhouse, The Pole Barn, next to the birch trees and in the arboretum, to name just a few! It’s hard to think of something Dewsall Court doesn’t have!

Cocktail hour at the ‘Moon Bar’ kicked off the evening in style, and got everyone ready for the epic party ahead. Music is a big part of Poppy and Sam’s life together, and having met on the dancefloor it was only right that their wedding was the party of a lifetime! Making use of the space at Dewsall Court and the ‘After Party Den’ (where we understand Sam left his voice for a few days after the wedding!), Poppy and Sam put on an incredible show.

The couple had previously learned to DJ for a charity event and had been brushing up on their skills so they could each do their own DJ set. It was a total surprise to their guests and they filled the dancefloor! Then it was time for the bride and groom to join the crowd as the professionals cranked things up a notch with Poppy’s brother-in-law, Ibiza DJ Tom Grimes taking over the decks, and the brilliant King Konga on percussion.
Happily Ever After Party
When we say this party was epic, we really (REALLY) mean it! From the neon sign for their ‘Happily Ever After Party’ to the tunes on the dancefloor. The drinks, the shots, and the awesome atmosphere must rival some of the biggest parties we’ve ever captured! We stayed with them all night, capturing the party at maximum volume and preserving the memories of their incredible day so they can relive it for a lifetime.
