Radisson Blu Edwardian Manchester Wedding – Prela And Joyce

Radisson Blu Edwardian Manchester Wedding – Prela And Joyce

If you are here after reading my post all about Prela and Joyce’s engagement session, then it will be no surprise to you that their wedding was simply amazing. I loved getting to know Prela and Joyce in the build-up to their wedding. I was delighted they chose me to be their photographer for their wedding at the Raddison Blu Edwardian in Manchester. One of my favourite venues.

There are lots of fantastic places you could choose to get married in Manchester. But if modern luxury is what you want then you won’t go wrong with a wedding at this stylish hotel. The Edwardian Radission Blu is a Grade II-listed hotel with spa in Manchester’s Free Trade Hall. It earns every single one of its 5 stars, with its impressive architecture and inspiring interiors. For the sheer variety of backdrops and the impeccable service you receive here, I can honestly say I love photographing weddings here. With twenty spaces, each with their own look and feel, you will find the perfect place to host to your wedding ceremony and reception, whatever the size or style of your wedding.

Getting Ready For The Big Day

Some people are full of nerves at the start of the wedding day. It’s hardly surprising after all those months of wedding planning. There’s a lot to do from picking the perfect venue, finding a style that reflects your personalities, to carefully choosing the bridesmaids and groomsmen to support you on your big day. But there were no nerves for Prela and Joyce, just great big smiles. While Prela was getting ready with his groomsmen, putting the finishing touches to speeches, Joyce was calmly getting ready nearby, surrounded by her wonderful bridesmaids and her Mum.

The Ceremony At St James & All Souls Church

With the bridal makeup complete and Joyce helped into her elegant gown, we were ready to head off to the church. I remember thinking to myself, Prela was going to be blown away by his gorgeous bride. As Joyce glided effortlessly down the aisle in her stunning dress, with a veil that seemed to go on for miles, Prela glimpsed her for the first time, and from the look on his face, I knew I wasn’t wrong. I loved seeing that the photos from Prella and Joyce’s engagement session in Manchester were featured in their order of service. The ceremony was lovely, with heartfelt readings and singing that filled the room with joy. Their families glowed with pride as they were announced, man and wife.

Stylish Wedding at Raddison Blu Edwardian Manchester

After a few formal portraits at the church, the guests headed off to the reception while I snuck off with the newlyweds for a few portraits. I mostly shoot documentary style weddings images for most of the day, as all these natural moments and genuine emotions are what really tell the story of your big day. But this doesn’t mean I don’t like taking wedding portraits.

Before long, it was time to head over to Prela and Joyce’s stylish wedding reception at Manchester’s Radisson Blu. The Radisson Blu is undeniably one of the best venues if you want to get married in Manchester city centre. It is conveniently located. It’s certainly a wedding venue that won’t fail to impress you or your guests. I absolutely love photographing  Raddison Blu Edwardian Manchester weddings as they are all so unique.

Wedding Reception at Raddison Blu Edwardian Manchester

Prela and Joyce certainly made an entrance, as they announced their arrival with Affrobeats while dancing their way into the room. Having chosen one of Manchester’s most luxurious wedding venues, it was only fitting that the couple opted for throne-like chairs, surrounded by a breath-taking floral arch instead of a top table. Prela and Joyce were perfectly framed in the floral arch as hilarious speeches were read out, and the room erupted with joy and laughter. This was one of Prela and Joyce’s favourite moments from the day.

“Our speeches to each other at the wedding reception clinches the top spot as the best moment of our day. As those sweet and true words came out, our hearts raced, and our eyes welled up with tears of joy.”

One of the many advantages to having your reception at a hotel like the Raddison Blu Edwardian hotel is being able to nip up to your room for a quick outfit or shoe change. And that is precisely what Joyce did, changing from her breath-taking wedding dress, into an equally glorious golden gown.
