Stunning places, incredible scenery, and some of the most picturesque venues in the UK captured in Lancashire Wedding Photography, by Reportage Studios.
Lancashire Wedding Photography
The benefit of living in the North of England is that we’re super close to some beautiful places, which we explore as Lancashire wedding photographers, and with our own families. We love the incredible views, the huge variety of venues, and the excellent Northern hospitality – capturing Lancashire wedding photography is always a treat. We’ve built excellent relationships with local venues and awesome suppliers, and we’re always happy to share our experience and top tips for weddings in Lancashire.
Lancashire Wedding Photographers
We work across the rest of the UK and abroad too, but some of our favourite places are in Lancashire, the Lake District and Yorkshire, right here in the north and super close to where we are lucky to call home. Whether you live locally, were born here, visit the area on holiday, or just want to explore this stunning part of the world, Lancashire has something for everyone when it comes to wedding venues.
“We all know how important wedding photography is, to allow you to look back on your special day for years to come. If you’re looking for shots that truly make you feel like you’re reliving it over and over again, look no further!!”
From rustic barns, eco-friendly farms, and industrial warehouses to luxurious stately homes, manor houses and purpose-built event spaces. If it’s history you’re after, you’ll be surrounded by country estates with centuries of stories to be told, and lovingly restored farm buildings that keep their rustic charm in exposed brick, ironwork and oak beams.

Views, sunsets, and natural wonders
If you want to wow your guests with the natural world, then getting married in Lancashire means you’ll be surrounded by gorgeous scenery and views that you’ll want to come back and see in every season. Some of our favourite venues have panoramic views of the Ribble Valley, providing a dramatic backdrop for Lancashire wedding photography.
“We were determined to have colourful, natural pictures that showed everyone having fun and that is exactly what we got.”
Lots of venues have outdoor ceremony options, making the most of the natural beauty of the area and giving nature-loving couples the perfect setting for their vows. Ranging from hilltops and valley views to cosy woodland clearings in dappled shade, it’s hard to decide when you have so much choice!
“They ensured we had the best time and made us and our guests feel at ease.”
As Lancashire wedding photographers, we’re no strangers to the great British weather! Quick changes of plan are easily accommodated by flexible venues, and lots of our favourites have rooms with huge windows, glass atriums and covered terrace areas. So, even if the weather isn’t on your side, you can still get the feeling of an outdoor ceremony without granny getting soggy or risking any hats getting blown away!

Some of our favourite Lancashire wedding venues
We capture Lancashire wedding photography in every season, visiting some of the best venues the area has to offer. We’ve gathered together a list of a few of our local faves, so you can see the variety available. If you are getting married in Lancashire and you can’t see your ideal venue listed below, just get in touch and we’ll have a chat about your plans – we have loads more that we’d love to share with you!

Wyresdale Park
On Janina’s doorstep, Wyresdale Park is perfect for outdoorsy couples looking for an awesome place to party. They have three wedding barns that combine to provide the ultimate space and flexibility, whatever your plans. We’ve worked there a lot over the years and have seen the place decorated to suit different styles and themes. Wyresdale weddings can be as unique as you are, from relaxed and colourful to glam and luxurious.

Bartle Hall
Bartle Hall is an exclusive-use venue set in a 16-acre private estate. Surrounded by tall trees and manicured lawns, it’s a luxurious country hall with a friendly feel and plenty of variety for Lancashire wedding photography. After getting married in the light-filled ceremony hall, you can enjoy drinks on the lawn followed by a wedding breakfast and reception in the rustic coaching barn. There’s also an outdoor kitchen and heated terrace, so you’ll have loads of space to relax outdoors and soak up the atmosphere and views with your guests.

Hobbit Hill
Hobbit Hill is a picturesque venue at the heart of the Ribble Valley. Outdoorsy couples can get married in the Round Wood overlooking beautiful views and surrounded by nature – it’s pretty magical! There’s also a bright and spacious ceremony barn with equally gorgeous views. The onsite accommodation means you can extend the party, with a cabin, lodge, and glamping pods for your guests. As Lancashire wedding photographers, we love capturing the whole celebration by joining our couples on multiple days for pre-wedding and post-wedding gatherings with friends and family.

Holmes Mill
A former textile mill in Clitheroe, Holmes Mill dates back to 1823 and is full of historic details, rustic industrial architecture and bags of character. Run by the experts at James’ Places Dream Venues, it’s a brilliant choice for fun-loving couples looking for entertainment as it has a Bowling alley for some friendly competition on your big day! They’ve balanced fun with glamour and there’s also a stylishart deco bar and grill area with striking chandeliers, as well as an onsite brewery to keep the beverages flowing.

Eaves Hall
Another of the James’ Places Dream Venues collection, Eaves Hall is a Georgian Style Country House, set in 13 acres of beautiful Lancashire countryside. From intimate weddings to weekend-long celebrations, the team are experts at bringing dreams to life. This is a luxury venue with indoor and outdoor ceremony areas and beautiful locations for your Lancashire wedding photography, including sweeping garden stairs and manicured lawns.

Bashall Barn
If you are looking for views then make sure you check out Bashall Barn in the Ribble Valley. The scenery here is breathtaking, and you can make the most of it with an outdoor ceremony in the woodland next to the lake. Don’t worry though, they’ve got all seasons covered and the bright and neutral Brook Room is also ideal for ceremonies of all styles. You can get ready on the morning of your wedding in the dedicated preparation areas, each with a distinct vibe and style. The balconies, cow sheds and rustic features of the venue are also stunning to include in photos.

The Out Barn
At the heart of the Ribble Valley in Lancashire, The Out Barn is a rustic hay barn with a modern, glass-fronted function room, built with oak beams from the surrounding woodland. The flexible, elegant space has doors that open onto the meadow, bringing the outside in and celebrating the landscape. The team here are dedicated to sustainability and conservation, so it’s the perfect venue for eco-conscious couples looking for a venue with the natural world at its heart.

The River Barn
The River Barn is a rustic wedding venue in Poulton-le-Fylde on the River Wyre. The natural wood beams are draped with greenery, and wrought iron chandeliers provide character and drama alongside the contrasting modern glass atrium. It’s incredible as it is, or you can add to the décor with your own theme and styling. Approached along a tree-lined driveway and surrounded by protected woodland, this venue feels like your own private hideaway. The Manor House and Oak Tree Cabins also provide accommodation for your nearest and dearest to stay over and extend the celebrations.

The Glass House
In the beautiful Fylde countryside, The Glass House at Staining Lodge has a sense of modern elegance and loads of light (what with it being a glass house!). The neutral styling makes it a versatile space, and the light is perfect for capturing relaxed, authentic Lancashire wedding photography. You’ll have views of the countryside in all weathers and can finish up with dancing as the sun goes down and partying under the stars.

Ivory Tower Preston
For something a bit different, Ivory Tower in Preston is a prestigious city centre venue with nearly 200 years of history. The large windows, high ceilings, and industrial features have been restored with exposed brickwork and deep green velvet drapes to give the space a modern and luxurious feel. The central ‘bird cage’ steel structure is an amazing feature that looks super cool in photos. It’s the ideal venue if you are looking to get married in Lancashire and want something in the city rather than the countryside, but still want plenty of character.
